Born: 1970, Chinese year of the Dog - meaning I’m loyal, pant a lot, and wag my tail for reasons both known and unknown.

Education: BA degree in Intercultural Religious Studies from Trinity Western University in Canada. Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Western Esotericism from Exeter University in the U.K.

Martial Arts: Karate (7 years), Kendo (3 years), Bujinkan Budo (since 1992). Currently living in Japan (since January, 1997) for the primary purpose of continuing study of Bujinkan martial arts. I started a dojo in Japan in 2000 at the urging of the Bujinkan grandmaster and senior Japanese teachers, making my group the first regular Bujinkan school in Japan led by a non-Japanese (outside of U.S. military bases). Regular interpretation for the grandmaster at his classes in Japan. Instruction at martial arts seminars around the world (mainly in Europe and North America at this point).

Sports: Ice hockey (9 years), Snowboarding (Instructors’ license from the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors, 1996).

I.T.: Various positions (in-house and freelance) - conversant in Perl, PHP, HTML, MySQL, qmail, DNS, Linux/Unix system administration. ITIL certificate in IT Service Management.
